My Story
Where the storm
meets purpose.
Every business has a story. Mine starts in the middle of a storm — and that's exactly where I found my calling.
The storm that started it all
I started chasing storms in 2022 — not just as a hobby, but as a way to feel close to my brother after he passed. Storm chasing was something we shared, and getting out under those skies was how I found my way through grief. In those storms, I found something unexpected: purpose. I've witnessed over 15 tornadoes, and every single one has reminded me that there's something much bigger than me at work.

As Media & Operations Director of Tornado Tacklers, I manage content and operations for a storm chasing organization with over 300,000 followers — 230,000 on Facebook alone. I storm chase and livestream to inform the public and help save lives — getting eyes on the storm in real time so communities can take cover before it's too late. I produce all creative assets independently: graphic design, photography, video editing, and live broadcast production using Canva, Photoshop, DaVinci Resolve, and OBS Studio. From hosting live storm-chasing broadcasts with radar overlays and real-time commentary to designing state-specific severe weather graphics that boosted warning click-through rates by 15% — everything I do in the field and everything I create is built to inform, engage, and save lives.
Featured on NewsNation
On June 20, 2025, I documented multiple tornadoes across North Dakota — from Spiritwood during the day to Fort Ransom after dark. That outbreak included an EF5 tornado, the first in 13 years — a historic and humbling moment to witness firsthand. The next morning, June 21, 2025, I was featured on NewsNation to discuss the outbreak. It was a defining moment that brought everything together: the chasing, the content, the reach. I also built the Tornado Tacklers Weather Alerts Facebook page — a custom automated system that posts real-time NWS severe weather alerts directly to thousands of followers using live API data feeds.
Where technology met the chase
Along the way I discovered something unexpected — building the technology behind the content was just as thrilling as the chase itself. I built a custom weather alert system using NWS API data, developed live streaming infrastructure, and dove into AI-powered tools — all self-taught by doing, using AI as a collaborator to turn ideas into working code. That curiosity led to Storm Current, a social platform for storm chasers and weather enthusiasts, currently in development.
